Wendy was absolutely charming, warm and welcoming and such a lovely positive energy - and although I arrived at very short notice - was happy to greet me! The room was immaculately clean and the little toilet and wash hand basin was spotless, as was the separate shower room. The decor was smart, warm and hospitable and I felt very comfortable. There was a dressing gown, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits and superb service, which is more than I got paying 4 Xs more at the MacDonald Houston Spa Hotel in Livingston just a few miles away!! There is also a continental breakfast included so it's a perfect "pit stop" for a good sleep! Thank you Wendy - excellent value for money!

The rooms were clean and the proprietor was very approachable. Even giving access to the breakfast room for work after the time of departure. The Wifi was reliable downstairs but not reachable in the room. The hotel was well placed for exploring the surrounding countryside, and the peaceful location ensured a good nights sleep.

Friendly and accommodating host. Cosy room, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Have to comment on the lovely fresh smelling towels. Good selection of fruits, cereals, yogurts and pastries on the continental breakfast.

Wendy was a great host, check in was easy. Room clean stylish and comfortable with en suite. Breakfast was lovely for continental there was decent choices and we were well fed. Location was perfect for an event we were at

The whole facility is newly refurbished, with nice decor and a very comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was very nice, and overall it was great value. The host was very welcoming and happy to deal with our dietary needs.

Great little hotel , very clean , comfortable bed, bath robes and towels provided staff very friendly and helpful good breakfast although it was continental was no problem to give us something cooked will definitely use this hotel again .

Room was great, owner was behind the bar and showed me to my room, she was very helpful and friendly. Bathroom was nice and modern. Nice bar area, although apparently the restaurant side was being refurbished, so there were no meals or food being served.
